Diary of A Happy Life is a photo documentary I made of my grandmother during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020. She was spending most of her days by herself in an elderly home, which could be very lonely some days. Not knowing what was happening outside of the home and barely being able to see family did affect her lifestyle. Every night she was eating dinner by herself in her apartment, while the staff would bring and collect the plates. It was lonely however, she found a way to stay happy. As she always did. So as soon as the restrictions allowed it we created “Diary of A Happy Life”.

That month I learned so much about her outlook on life. Even though times are harsh and you barely see the sunshine, there is always a new day coming and she had her faith, her belief in God made her a strong woman. Unfortunately, one month after we created the photo documentary she passed away at the age of 96.
